Mitsubishi Mini Split Air Conditioners. Central AC System.

Mitsubishi Mini Split Air Conditioners. The Highest Level of Comfort.

Central air conditioning works to provide you with the highest level of comfort in your home during the sweltering summer months. By removing heat and humidity and circulating cool air, central air creates a pleasant and livable atmosphere inside your home no matter the temperature outside.

Air conditioning systems function the same way as refrigerators. There are five main parts to any air conditioner: a compressor, internal heat-exchanging pipes, an expansion valve, external heat-exchanging pipes, and a refrigerant, which is commonly called Freon.

Ductless Air Conditioning Cost. The Freon.

The Freon is first compressed in the compressor, which turns it into a hot, high-pressure gas. The hot gas then travels through the internal pipes where it dissipates heat and liquefies. The liquid passes through the expansion valve and evaporates into a cold, low-pressure gas. The cold gas then runs through the external pipes and absorbs heat, cooling the air in the room.

Mini Split Heat and Air. Two Basic Tasks.

An air conditioning system performs two basic tasks for you – it cools the hot air and removes humidity. The first function is easily noticeable, but the second is just as important. Reduced humidity makes the air feel cooler, allowing you to set the actual temperature level higher and conserve energy. Also, damp air can make furniture sticky and uncomfortable and shorten the freshness time of many foods kept in cabinets.

Mitsubishi Ductless Air Conditioning. Humidity.

Humidity also affects the human body. High levels of moisture in the air impair the body’s ability to sweat, which raises internal temperature and can even cause heatstroke, a condition marked by extreme fatigue and nausea. High humidity levels also foster the growth of bacteria that feed dust mites, which are nearly microscopic organisms that flourish in carpets and bedding and are a prominent cause of asthma. Though dust mites thrive in even the cleanest homes, humidity reduction disrupts dust mites’ living environment, which can greatly reduce the number living in your home.

Central air conditioning provides not only comfort but important health protection by reducing humidity. We can install central air conditioning that works in conjunction with your heating system.

Mini Split AC Installation. Summer & Winter Energy Savings Tips.

Mini Split AC Installation. Insulate and Seal.

Insulate your home. Insulation reduces the amount of heat that enters your home from outside. In a well insulated house, less energy is consumed battling heat conducted in from the outside through walls and ceilings.

Seal up air leaks. A tightly sealed home reduces the amount of warm air that leaks into your home from outside. In a well sealed home, less energy is consumed battling warm air leaking in from outside.

Installing Ductless Air Conditioner. Greenhouse Effect.

Use shades to prevent the "greenhouse effect". Don't let your home heat up inside like a car with closed windows on a hot sunny day. Closing window shades during the day will prevent sunlight from entering your home and heating it up, decreasing the load on your cooling equipment.

How to Install a Split AC Unit? Thermostats.

Turn air conditioner thermostats up a few degrees. Instead of cooling your home to 72 degrees F, try 75 or 78 degrees F. Every degree you increase the thermostat setting reduces the load on your cooling system.

Programmable thermostat. Set a programmable thermostat up for your schedule do it runs air conditioning only when you are home.

Ductless Air Conditioning Installation. Change or Clean Filters.

Change or clean filters. Clean filters increase the airflow and efficiency of air conditioning equipment.

Cool only the spaces you are in.  Zone your cooling system or use window air conditioners or portable air conditioners so you air condition only the area you are in. This will greatly reduce energy consumption.

Install Panasonic Mini Split - Systems that are at Home.

Install Panasonic Mini Split. Split Systems.

A split system simply means your solution has products that reside both inside and outside your home. In many cases, a split system consists of: Furnace―provides heating and the fan used year round to circulate air. Evaporator coil―the indoor component of your outdoor cooling unit. Air conditioner or heat pump―works in tandem with the evaporator coil. Ducts―carry the conditioned air throughout your home. Control or thermostat―your interface for controlling your system. Optional air quality accessories―clean, humidify, and freshen air before it circulates throughout your home. Some split systems consist only of an outdoor unit―such as a heat pump or air conditioner―and an inside fan coil. If that’s the case, there’s usually another heat source in the home like baseboard heat or a boiler.

Mitsubishi Mini Split. Hybrid Heat Split Systems.

It’s a smarter version of your standard split system, with an energy efficient twist: In addition to gas furnace heat, this system automatically figures out how to get the best efficiency by also using an electricity-fueled heat pump to provide warmth. Bonus―the heat pump functions in the place of an air conditioner too.

In the warmer, humid climates of the south you might consider a high performance heat pump with a lower efficiency and lower up front cost furnace so you can have the furnace as backup heating on really cold nights, while taking advantage of the high-efficiency heat pump most of the year. A heat pump with a variable-speed compressor matched to a furnace with a variable-speed blower motor can do an amazing job of pulling humidity out of the air in the summer to save money.

Meanwhile, in colder climates, it’s best to pair your heat pump with a high-efficiency furnace. Despite the cold, you might be surprised by just how much mileage―not to mention cost-saving efficiency―you’ll get from a heat pump in the spring, fall and, yes, even winter months. A Hybrid Heat system includes: Heat pump―provides summer cooling and dehumidification and warmth in cooler seasons. Evaporator coil―the indoor component of your outdoor heat pump

Furnace―provides heating and the fan used year round to circulate air. Ducts―carry the conditioned air throughout your home. Control or thermostat―your interface for controlling your system. Optional air quality accessories―clean, humidify, and freshen air before it circulates throughout your home.

Panasonic Inverter Mini Split. Ductless Split Systems.

As you may have guessed from its name, a ductless split system doesn’t rely on air ducts to spread treated air in your home. Instead, this specialty system is designed to heat or cool room additions or other places that may lack ductwork, such as home theatres, exercise rooms, garages or any other area where the existing system doesn’t quite cut it. Ductless split systems include: Small outdoor air conditioner or heat pump unit. A compact indoor wall unit. Refrigerant tubing and wire connections―pass through a small hole from indoor to outdoor unit to connect the system. On unit or remote control―your interface for controlling your system. Packaged systems. Some homes just don’t have space inside for a furnace or the coil needed for cooling. That doesn’t mean they can’t be filled with the same comfort and improved air quality of a split system home. Packaged units tend to all look alike but can do vastly different things: Cool only as an air conditioner, Cool and heat as an electric heat pump, Cool and heat as a Hybrid Heat® dual fuel system of gas furnace with electric heat pump, Cool and heat as a gas furnace with electric air conditioner.

Sanyo Mini Split. Geothermal Heat Pump System.

Traditional heat pumps do the same thing as air conditioners but in winter, they do it in reverse, drawing their heat energy from the outside air. Geothermal heat pumps don't have to rely on the potentially wide temperature swings of outdoor air. They tap into the relatively consistent and more moderate temperatures of the earth instead. Using your yard, pond or well water, this ingenious technology enables you to enjoy higher energy efficiency inside your home—no matter how extreme the weather gets outside.

There are geothermal systems that can serve homes with ductwork or homes with radiant heat. The radiant heat versions are referred to as hydronic systems and some of those can also provide you with all your hot water needs. A geothermal system can be used to provide all of your heating and cooling needs or you can pair it with a furnace for a dual fuel heating solution.

Ductless AC Units - Save Money on Air Conditioning Costs.

Ductless AC Units. Cut Your Cooling Costs With These Money-Saving Tips.

If you have central air conditioning or a window air conditioning unit, you can cut your electric bills significantly, especially in very warm climates, by following these energy-saving cooling tips this summer.

When buying a window air conditioning unit, more is not necessarily better. Base the size of the air conditioning unit on the size of the room, the other factors that affect the temperature in the room, such as how many windows it has and whether it faces south, north, etc. An air conditioning unit that is too big for the room will work harder and cost you more.

Ductless Central Air Units. The SEER Number.

When you're shopping for a central air conditioning system, make sure the SEER number (seasonal energy efficiency ratio) is 13 or better (14 in warmer climates). A less efficient system will cost you more to run. Look for an EER (energy efficiency ratio) of 11 or higher for room air conditioners. A high efficiency unit costs more, but if you live in a hot climate, it will pay for itself in a few years by reducing electricity bills.

A cooling system is one of the biggest energy guzzlers in your home (second only to your heating system, depending on where you live). If you have an old air conditioning system with a SEER rating of less than 8, it may be worthwhile to consider replacing it with a more energy efficient system. You should be able to recoup the cost in just a few years.

Install a programmable thermostat so you can vary the temperature according to when you're home. Set it to 78 degrees when you're home. If you'll be gone for more than a few hours, it makes sense to set the air conditioning at 85 degrees while you're gone. Perform regular maintenance on your air conditioning unit. Replace the filter monthly during the cooling season and have a professional service your system at the beginning of each cooling season.

Make sure your air conditioning condenser is located in a shady spot and has room to dispose of the heated air it removes from your house. Don't crowd it with shrubs or anything else.

Sealing up air leaks in your house will reduce your air conditioning costs as well as heating costs. Caulk or seal places where utilities come into your home (plumbing, electricity, dryer vents, etc.). Fill gaps around chimneys. Weatherstrip around drafty windows and doors.

Install energy efficient ceiling fans and run them on hot days. If it's just a little too warm for comfort, use the ceiling fan without air conditioning. If it's hot enough to require air conditioning, using the ceiling fans at the same time allows you to raise the temperature setting by five degrees, which will reduce your costs. Use the ceiling fan only when you're in the room, because running the fan doesn't actually lower the temperature. The moving air increases the amount of evaporation from your skin and helps cool you off.
